The Treasurer's Office is not located in the Courthouse. It is at 822 Central Ave., next to Carpenter Coffee.
**ATTENTION DRIVER’S LICENSE AND ID CUSTOMERS**
Beginning July 1st, 2023 customers who do not reside in Worth County will be assessed a $10.00 convenience fee for driver’s license and ID services unless they pay property taxes in Worth County and provide proof of payment. Collection of the convenience fee is pursuant to Iowa Code 321M.9

Duties & Responsibilities
- Issues vehicle titles, and registrations and collects all other vehicle fees
- Collects use tax on title transactions for the Department of Revenue and Finance.
- Collects property taxes, including drainage, mobile homes, and city specials.
- Administers the Iowa Property Tax Credit Program and distributes all state credits to taxing bodies.
- Prepares and conducts the annual tax sale for the collection of delinquent taxes.
- Financial Administrator for banking, cash management, and investments.
- Makes semi-annual reports to the Board of Supervisors.
- Distributes all tax collections to schools, cities, and all other taxing agencies and other government agencies.
- Issues drivers license, IDs, duplicate licenses, handicap devices, and administers written and drive tests.
- Collects and receipts all other county office fees.
