On 6/26/2019, the Worth County Sheriff’s Office was called 4646 Ulmus Avenue, in rural Northwood for a female who was threatening to hurt herself. Law enforcement arrived on scene and the female was subsequently taken into custody by law enforcement and transported to Mercy Medical Center in Mason City for an evaluation. Assisting the Worth County Sheriff’s Office at the scene was Manly Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Northwood Rescue, Mason City Fire Department, Special Operations Group (S.O.G.), Worth County EMA.
