Two Vehicle Accident Northwood

On February 7, 2019 at 1438 hrs the Worth County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a motor vehicle accident involving two cars in the 800 block of 1st Avenue N. When the deputy arrived on scene, he found one vehicle in the street with damage to the right rear and another in the driveway with damage to the rear. After speaking with both parties it was determined that the vehicle in the street driven by April Sheimo of Northwood was traveling West on 1st Ave N when the second vehicle driven by Laura Thompson of Northwood was attempting to back out of the driveway of a residence and didn’t see the vehicle driven by Sheimo. Thompson’s vehicle struck Sheimo’s vehicle in the right rear causing damage to both vehicles. Both vehicles were able to drive away. This accident remains under investigation.
