Scam Letter

posted on 7/3/17

On July 3rd 2017 the Worth County Sheriff’s Office has received complaints about scam letters being mailed. The Sheriff’s Office has received several complaints in the last few days. The letters have official logos on them such as Salvation Army stamped on them. The postal stamps have been from other countries. It is a letter for next of kin for a death in the family and unclaimed money from a bank account. The Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone who receives one of these letters not to give out any of your personal information. If you are not sure if it is a scam or not contact the Worth County Sheriff’s Office.
