On 10/19/2017 at 11:38am the Worth County Sheriff’s Office received a call of 2 power lines hanging low on Central Avenue in Northwood between 17th St N and 18th St N. The 2 cables hanging low were caught on an auger being pulled by a tractor. Central Avenue between those 2 streets are shut down until the cables can be fixed. Update: Central Avenue was opened back up at 2:00pm. The Worth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Northwood Maintenance Crew, Alliant Energy and Mediacom.
