Northwood Narcotics Arrests
On 05/21/2019 at approximately 2204 hours a Deputy with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a Black 1998 Honda CR-V on 8th St/4th Ave N in the City of Northwood for expired registration. Upon approaching the vehicle, the Deputy observed a strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle founded a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana with an odor of marijuana as well as several items of drug paraphernalia. As a result of the stop, 26 year old Zachary Kubatzki of Albert Lea was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana, First Offense), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Expired Registration (Potential Operating While Intoxicated charge may be filed at a later date), 20 year old Braelyn Hellner of Albert Lea was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana, First Offense) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 38 year old Amanda Carson of Albert Lea was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
