At approximately 2:15 am on January 27, 2018 the Worth county Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Diamond Jo Casino to report vandalism. A Worth County Deputy arrived on scene and took a report and viewed damage done to a gaming machine. Upon further investigation Dion King of Mason City was arrested and charged with 2nd degree criminal mischief, a Class D felony. King was booked into the Worth County Jail. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

A letter to inform the public of the intent by the Zoning Commission to recommend that the County Board of Supervisors extend the current Zoning Ordinance to apply to the unincorporated areas of all the townships in the county, versus just the three townships currently under zoning (Hartland, Brookfield, and Danville).
