On 1/5/2019 at approximately 6:44pm a Worth County Deputy observed a vehicle pull over and turn its hazard lights on near the intersection of HWY 105 and Wheelerwood Rd. The Deputy stopped to see if they needed assistance. They were having mechanical issues. While speaking to the driver the Deputy could smell the odor of an alcoholic drink coming from him. An investigation was done for OWI. The driver was identified as Nicholas Kerber from North Liberty. Kerber was placed under arrest and charged with OWI first Offense.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
