Kensett Search Warrant

On 4/12/2019 a Deputy with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve civil papers at a residence in Kensett. The individual who was to be served the civil papers also had outstanding warrants from both Worth and Cerro Gordo County. When the Deputy was pulling up to the residence. The male (Jesse Varner) quick ran into the residence. A search warrant was applied for to go into the residencetoarrestVarneronhiswarrants. KaceyOlsonwasalsointheresidenceandsaidVarnerwas not there. Varner was located and placed under arrest and both were charged with interference with official acts.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Manly Police Department, Michelle County Sheriff’s Office K9, Iowa State Patrol, and Northwood Rescue.
