Hauge Possession with Intent

On 09/23/2018 at approximately 1853 hours, a Deputy with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Dodge Dakota for not having an exhaust at the intersection of Partridge Ave and 485th St. As a result of the investigation, it was learned there was a felony drug warrant out for a passenger in the vehicle, 39 year old Brandon Hauge of Northwood. While attempting to detain Brandon, he took off and a foot pursuit ensued. Brandon was taken into custody for Interference with Official Acts and for an active warrant. Deputies later went out to the scene and observed where Brandon had fallen approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine in two plastic baggies with one being packaged for sale and a pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine. The methamphetamine was discovered in a Copenhagen Snus tin can, Brandon also had a matching tin can in his possession when he was taken into custody along with a torch lighter that is commonly used for smoking methamphetamine and a substantial amount of cash. Brandon was booked into the Worth County Jail for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Interference with Official Acts and on an active warrant. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
