On 8/3/2017, at 1511, the Worth County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a two vehicle accident with injuries, near Highway 69 and Apple Avenue. Two people were transported to local hospitals. Assisted on the scene were the Worth County Sheriff’s Office, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the Lake Mills Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Lake Mills Fire Department, Lake Mills Ambulance, Forest City Ambulance, and Mercy Air Med.

A letter to inform the public of the intent by the Zoning Commission to recommend that the County Board of Supervisors extend the current Zoning Ordinance to apply to the unincorporated areas of all the townships in the county, versus just the three townships currently under zoning (Hartland, Brookfield, and Danville).
