Anderson Meth/Weapon Arrest

On 07/24/2019 at approximately 2346 hours, a deputy with the Worth County Sheriffs Office conducted a traffic stop on a Silver 1998 Honda Accord at the intersection of Highway 105/ Mallard Ave. As a result of the investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted. Located during the search were pipes used for smoking marijuana and methamphetamine, marijuana, methamphetamine, and a large knife located on the driver’s person, 55 year old Rodney Anderson of Albert Lea. Anderson was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(Class D Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)(Class D Felony) and Carrying Weapons (Serious Misdemeanor). All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
