The Worth County Sheriff's Office has been serving and protecting the people of Worth County since 1858.
Mission and Vision Statement
It is our mission that the Worth County Sheriff's Office serve the
citizens and visitors of Worth County, Iowa by providing
professional law enforcement, detention, communications and
court security that protects and preserves the Constitutional
Rights of the people and mandates the fair and impartial enforcement of the law.
It is our vision that Worth County remain one of the safest places to live and visit in the state of Iowa and in the nation and for the Worth County Sheriff's Office to be a leader in public safety. We achieve this through innovation, technology, and community partnerships. We strive to always move forward and to improve on all aspects of our duty's and our processes. We believe and support strong community policing and will achieve our vision through collaborative problem solving
Our Core Values
We, the men and women of the Worth County Sheriff's Office, pledge to infuse our core values in every aspect of our service to our community. Our three core values are:
*Integrity- We pledge to maintain a strong sense of honesty, morality, and ethical character.
*Professionalism- We are skilled in the performance of our duties and governed by the code of ethics that demand integrity by word or by act publicly and privately, the allegiance to our oath of office and the laws that govern our nation.
*Trust- We must value and nurture the trust we earn through honesty and excellence in service. We pledge to treat those we serve and have sworn to protect with courtesy, respect, dignity, and compassion to achieve that trust.
