Northwood Stabbing Update

On 06/02/2018 at approximately 2248 hours the Worth County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 phone calls in reference to a stabbing that occurred at 607 7th St N in Northwood. Upon arrival, deputies observed a victim, 25 year old Andrew Nodtvedt of Manly, with multiple stab and slashing wounds. Andrew was transported to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa with non-life threatening wounds and has since been treated and released. On 06/04/2018 31 year old Trapp Trotter turned himself in to authorities and was taken into custody under Attempted Murder, Burglary in the First Degree, and Criminal Mischief. This is currently an ongoing investigation. The Worth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this matter by the Iowa State Patrol, Northwood Fire and Rescue, Mason City Ambulance, and Mercy Air Med. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
